Do Natural Eyelashes Grow Back If Pulled Out?
Well, the answer to this question is not as simple as yes or no. Pulling an eyelash is never recommended if any situation whatsoever. Pulling an eyelash slows down the process of regrowth. Eyelashes, if pulled out, can grow back, but it may take something around 6 weeks or longer for it grow back.
While it’s quite normal to lose a few eyelashes everyday, significant eyelash or eyebrow hair loss may indicate a more serious problem and it is recommended to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist as soon as possible.
What are the common reasons of eyelash hair loss?
Cosmetics
Sleeping in eye makeup can cause eyelashes to fall out and in some circumstances it can also lead to a bacterial infection. Eye makeup and mascara can irritate the eyelash follicles and cause your eyelashes to fall.
Heredity. Thinning eyebrows tend to run in families.
Allergic Reactions
Allergies to cosmetics, eye makeup, makeup remover, and skincare products are common causes of eyelash hair loss. If you suspect the eyelash loss is from a reaction to cosmetics or eye cream, stop using eye products and get an allergy test to find out what you’re allergic to.
Stress
Stress or anxiety can also be the culprits for eyelash hair loss. Stress can trigger your hair follicles to fall out or become thin. If you are going through eyelash hair loss or thinning of eyelash hair, look out for symptoms if you are going through any stress or anxiety.

How to take care of your eyelashes?
While severe eyelash loss typically requires treatment from a skin specialist or dermatologist, you can take certain precautions to preserve your eyelashes if you wear makeup on a regular basis:
Take off your mascara before sleep
Before going to bed, don’t forget to clean your eyelashes and remove your mascara. Be gentle, however, because harsh washing can pull the eyelashes out.
Change mascara brands
If you notice there may be some allergic reaction to the ingredients in your mascara which could be causing your eyelash hair to fall out. Try changing brands and see if that makes a difference.
Get a new bottle of mascara regularly
Replace your mascara every 4 to 6 months or so. An old mascara can be build up bacteria, which may cause an infection to develop around your eyelids.
Use lash curlers carefully
If you use a lash curler, be gentle and do not pull on your eyelids.
Rub your eyes gently
Rubbing your eyes vigorously to relieve itching can result in accidental uprooting of eyelashes.
